The course also focuses on the business benefits of environmental management. It is important for young people to be able to take environmental awareness and principles of good practice into the workplace if sustainability is to be achieved. Businesses are quickly realising that they cannot afford to stand still when it comes to their environmental responsibilities. Legislation, financial constraints, and the realisation that environmental improvement is a moral imperative from a global and local community perspective are key drivers in the trend towards increased environmental management in business and industry.
Successful completion of this course will help young people to increase their employability as sustainability and environmental considerations are now often core business objectives.
It is our belief that the skills and principles young learners obtain through this course will drive them on to become sustainability leaders in their communities and places of work.
