The Environmental Academy is committed to ensure that the conditions in which its staff work, is as free from risks to their health and safety as is reasonably practicable.
To achieve this, the company will:
- Assess and document the risks, to staff and others, which may be associated with its activities; additional health and safety arrangements will be made on the basis of this assessment;
- Ensure all equipment, furniture and other materials purchased or used are fit and safe for the purpose intended;
- Ensure that staff is aware of the hazards they are likely to encounter in the course of their work and of the precautions and other measures they need to observe to minimise the risks associated with these hazards;
Detailed arrangements for health and safety are set out in the company health and safety manual, which is distributed to all staff.
Overall responsibility for health and safety lies with the company partners. However, all staff is required to be aware of and to implement this health and safety policy and the detailed arrangements in the health and safety manual.
All health and safety arrangements within the company will be reviewed periodically. Any changes considered necessary following such a review will be notified to all staff.
